At times you may wish to change your particular
- behaviour
- response
- thought pattern
- belief system
- mental block / limitation
- nagging
thought
- mental pictures etc.
For instance,
- stage-fright to increased confidence
- depression/pain due to past hurt/heartbreak
to cheerful positivism
- anger response to calmness
- smoking to non-smoking
- distraction at studies to improved
concentration
- old predominant thoughts/experiences/mental
pictures/belief system to new.

Technique:
- Get into a meditative/relaxed state of mind
(Silva graduates: Better to do your Mirror of the Mind technique than this one.
But if you still want to do this, then begin by getting into your laboratory level,
then greet your counselors)
- Imagine you are sitting in an empty cinema
hall, on a seat that is at the centre of the 3rd row from the screen. (Silva
graduates: sit on your chair in your mental lab facing the south wall where you
have your black mental-screen)
- Draw an imaginary vertical line in the
middle of the screen so that now you have a left half (in front of your left
hand) and a right half of the screen.
- On the ENTIRE right half of the screen
imagine watching a still image or a movie of the scenario that you want to
change. View it in full color and in pristine crisp quality.
- After reviewing it briefly, while the movie
is still running (it is running in auto-replay mode), or while the still-image is
still there on the right-half of the screen, take your attention to the left-half
now. i.e., now though you know what is going-on on the right half of the
screen, you are not paying any conscious attention to it. The right-half is as
if no more of direct-concern, so focus all your attention towards your
left-half part of the screen now.
- Imagine the corrected or desired-end-result
scenario here. See a still image or a video playback of the desired scenario.
(as if it has already happened and somebody from future took a video footage
of that and you are able to see the desired manifestation of the desired end
result.)

See the future in Present Tense -
as if it has already happened. |
- Imagine this imagery on the left half of the screen
maybe is blurred, hazy, out-of focus, faded, shrunk to about 50% of the actual size,
unclear and in black and white. Meaning.. at this stage it is not compulsory
that you have to have
a clear detail of the new desired scenario.
- Now slowly in a relaxed pace, mentally count from 10 to 1. With each
count watch the following happening (its your mind.. so you are making it
happen there) :
- With every mental count, this
imagery gains in clarity, focus, color and size; while the right-side
image looses its color, clarity, focus and size.
- So that at the count of 1, the left hand side image
or video of the future scenario is in FULL SIZE, is in FULL COLOR, is in
FULL
FOCUS, is in CLEAR CLARITY of detail while the right hand side undesired
imagery has shrunk to negligible or less than half its original size, has lost
all its color and is in Black & white now, has become very faded, is totally
blurred and hazy and finally it vanishes!.. Thus going out of mental
picture/memory-cells.
- Now imagine the entire screen to be
displaying in FULL SIZE only the desired scenario. Inspect it in full color.
Run thru it in full detail. Believe it. Know it to be true.
Congratulations!!
Now you have created a new belief system. You have replaced your previous
predominant mental knowledge and imagery with this new mental picture. This is
all that you believe now. This is all that fills your mind now. This is what you
are made up of now. This is all that you know now.
Your inner mind
has now lost the undesired previous effect, previous image and the related
previous memory. Consciously attempt not to dwell or bring back the negative
images/thoughts/behavior back again now.
You are now free. You are a new person now with
new outlook, new behavior, new mental makeup.

(Normally for a
particular project, this needs to
be done only once in your life. But if you need further improvement
or have by mistake brought or gone back to the old negative scene, then you
may repeat this exercise once-in-a-while though, that time - begin freshly
again..)
