Ideally, a leader is someone
respected, admired and followed by teams of colleagues. A good leader is able to
guide others to accomplish an objective. A first-rate leader builds the best
conditions for a company to improve. An ideal leader always sets a good example,
and exerts a positive influence on others. By careful planning, an accomplished
leader will inspire in an organization a higher performance level resulting in
corporate profits and elevated status.
This is why true, strategic leadership is so needed in all the elements that
comprise the modern world, be it business, sports, education, or technology.
Distinctive aspects of a leader
Creative: A proactive
leader does not wait for opportunities to knock on the door; a great leader
generates opportunities. A compassionate leader is familiar with struggling for
wanted goals, knowing that, with effort and conviction, new accomplishments
arise. A gifted leader can be the creator of extraordinary concepts and can,
after a detailed analysis, pursue them with unshakable conviction.
Dynamic and flexible: An alert leader is aware of signs of change, either
because there is something to be modified internally, or because the external
situation requires a particular change. An adept leader knows communication
skills and masters them, masters the cause and effect, the message communicated
and the reply.
Empathetic: Using social magnetism, communicative skills and great
charisma, an in-touch leader emotionally communes with others by adjusting to
the way they prefer to be treated. A tolerant leader respects and values others’
opinions and feelings, encouraging open and sincere dialog.
Minimizes errors, induces confidence: A nurturing leader stimulates the
personal growth of others. An adroit leader knows the significance of minimizing
team errors, and generating confidence. Even better, a professional leader
mentally creates an honest, positive reputation for every co-worker. A wise
leader does not criticize, and does not patronize, but rather makes positive
suggestions.
Organizes efficient teams: Ideally, the best leader is surrounded by
extremely efficient professionals, perhaps more efficient than the leader might
be, all with the goal of achieving the best possible result. A perceptive leader
communicates goals clearly and describes the mechanisms of evaluation and
control. A practical leader discusses with the team the comparative differences
between estimated projections and feasible outcome. Together they can analyze
and put into service the best solutions.
The ideal leader turns work into stimulating opportunities for every colleague,
makes room for every initiative, and promotes the creation of new ideas. When it
comes to setting a good example for others, the leader truly shines.
Components
of an individual
The illustration shows the different domains that shape an individual, all of
which can be improved by using the Silva Method. All are needed to achieve the
best possible results in a project. All are used to positively influence a team
of co-workers, thereby creating a sense of leadership in every employee.
One only has to apply The Silva Method to realize the best results in every
aspect of life by improving the being, doing and knowing domains. You can
influence everything surrounding you; the rewards are there, infinite and
surprising. As you become more familiar with the Silva Method techniques you
will find yourself with an increasingly positive attitude, which you can use to
positively influence others.
Conclusion
All of these domains or spheres influence the soul, body and mind components of
a person equally. So while we improve each domain for a particular reason, such
as work or relationships, we put into effect the same principles in other
aspects of our life.
By guiding your mind you can get in touch with your inner wisdom. Instead of
letting your mind act as an out-of-control body part, leading you ever farther
away from achieving a higher level of consciousness, you can, instead, let the
Silva Method allow you to profoundly understand what is your real, indwelling
purpose in life, and how to achieve it—all the while having a great time.
Sometimes we fail to recognize the right path to follow; we still insist on
choosing piece-by piece to be completely logical, or completely material, or
completely spiritual. The world appears to be made up of duality, contrast, good
and bad, east and west.
I invite you to see the big picture, make your choices, and enjoy them. Make the
most out of life, yours and everyone else’s. Don’t feel guilty for seeking
happiness; happiness is not selfishness.
Happiness automatically transfers to others in touch with a happy person.
Omar Mustafa, my CSMI, tells the story about Michelangelo Buonarotti, artist and
sculptor of the monumental statue of David, regarded by many as a masterpiece.
Michelangelo was so proud of his work, that when he finished it he kicked the
huge statue and shouted, “Speak!,” so perfect, so human it was.
So creative and intuitive was Michelangelo that he would stand in front of a
block of stone and visualize the figure within. He would say that when he saw
the stone, he also saw the figure inside it, and just got rid of the rest, the
scraps.
What a joy it is to visualize your life differently, to see the perfect figure
within you, and get rid of the scraps. It is then that you discover your
complete and perfect self, a genuine masterpiece.
